The SECU Family House at New Hanover Regional Medical Center is under construction and is anticipated to be open by August/September of 2014. The new facility will have 24 guest rooms with private bathrooms and televisions, a kitchen large enough for two families to cook, a living room, conference room, children's play area and much more. Patients and family members who do not reside in New Hanover County will have a home away from home during a medical crisis.
In preparation of the grand opening Hospitality House will be recruiting volunteers to fill the following positons: front desk receptionist, guest liasion, and courtesy van driver. Please contact Nancy Applewhite for additional information at (910) 815-5312; nancy.applewhite@nhrmc.org.

When there is an illness or accident and a loved one is hospitalized, it is a crisis for the entire family especially when home and friends are far away.
The mission of Hospitality House is to provide a "home away from home" for patients' families. We also provide lodging for patients that must travel to our area for outpatient medical treatment. Hospitality House offers an affordable, clean and comfortable place for resting, showering and preparing meals.

Hospitality House has 11 guest rooms (family-style), 4 communal bathrooms, 2 living rooms with TV and VCR, a fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, playroom and an enclosed outdoor patio area and a peaceful garden
