The Director of Program Support will determine and procure items necessary to support programs.

This may include food, clothing and hygiene supplies necessary for outreach, school supplies, backpacks, giftcards for mentoring, apartment support items etc.

The Director of Program support reports to the Executive Director

  • Fosters long-term relationships with donors and sponsors to secure continued support whether Gift-In-Kind or monetary;
  • Manage stock of supplies (often at a storage unit);
  • Maintain local program's wish list;
  • Maintain list of organizations (with the Director of Community Resource Development) that helps kids with specific needs (e.g. shelter, medical).
  • Maintain program's project plan;
  • Reports monthly Gift-In-Kind and monetary donations to the ED (or Co-EDs).

Mission Statement

StandUp for Kids - Worcester core mission is ending the cycle of youth homelessness. We do this , one youth at a time.

Description

StandUp for Kids - Worcester was founded in 2006. Volunteers started street outreach in 2008 and it became an official program in November of that year.

The Worcester Program opened our current outreach center in March 2014.

Current Programs:
  • Street Outreach twice weekly

  • Apartment Support for youths struggling to live independently

  • Outreach Center is open three times a week for 3.5 - 4 hours per session

  • Mental health counselor and nurse on site once a week at the Outreach Center
