HICAP is looking for responsible and energetic volunteers who are willing to help Medicare health recepients by providing one-on-one counseling and community education related to Medicare. Our counselors are trained to understand Medicare insurance coverage options. As a prospective volunteer, you will particiapate in a state required 24 hour training as well as successfully complete a Counselor Training and Final Exam.

Position Description:
The volunteer program is an opportunity available to all who would like participate in Service Learning/Community Service activities, or who want to gain relevant professional experience. The curriculum has a multidisciplinary approach that, through a rotation system, integrates many components of the HICAP program. This structure provides first-hand knowledge of all the significant elements involved in the operations of a nonprofit program.
