Children’s Home Aid’s Rice Child and Family Center is a residential treatment center for children with severe emotional and behavioral problems due to previous abuse and neglect. The treatment they receive at the facility helps them develop skills to manage emotions appropriately so that they can return to a loving family environment.

The Administrative Assistant at the Rice Center is in charge of paperwork for the children living at the facility, the staff, and the building. She is requesting an afternoon volunteer who could help answer phones, file, organize, greet visitors, and do data entry in order to make sure our clients are receiving the best treatment possible.

Although the duties of this position are basic, the role is integral - this volunteer will often be the first face a visitor or child sees upon entering the center. Volunteers who are friendly, welcoming, and enthusiastic about helping others will thrive in this position and will quickly endear themselves to the youth living at the Rice Center.

Time: Weekdays -1-2 days per week in the afternoons, 2-4 hours per day, preferred 4 month or longer commitment
