Wardrobe and Costumer's assistants are needed at the West Bay Opera House for this season's productions. Three times a year (mid-October, mid- February and the end of May) West Bay Opera House produces full operas in the Lucie Stern Community Theatre in Palo Alto.
For each production, volunteers have the opportunity to work with exquisite costumes, get a first hand look into opera's behind-the-scenes, and become a part of a huge, theatrical, and artistic community.
Our wardrobe team is interested in people willing to learn, ready to work hard when the rush is on, and committed to attending all necessary rehearsals (3) and performances(4). A very basic ability to sew is desirable but is not necessary.
The upcoming opportunity is for our February production of the opera Corpus Evita, by Carlos Franzetti, a contemporary opera about the populist experience in Argentina in the 1970's.
