THE ONE LESS FOUNDATION is seeking volunteers to serve as Mentors to youths ages 13-18 (primarily juniors and seniors in high school) who are in need of assistance with learning about their options for higher education after high school graduation, employment training opportunities and arts and culture.

We are looking for volunteers that can commit to at least nine (9) months, but welcome a longer commitment.

You will have the ability to set your own volunteer schedule (depending upon the needs of the participants). Our office hours are:

Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10:00am - 4:00pm

Tuesday and Thursday at 10:00am - 7:00pm

Saturday at 10:00am - 2:00pm (as needed)

Each Mentor can work with as many participants as they like; however it is required that they meet with each person at least once a month (to ensure the 12 lessons are completed) and on a one-on-one basis when discussing confidential information or as requested by the participant.

We are seeking individuals of all backgrounds and experience who are patient, upbeat, computer savvy, and personable. If you are a recent college graduate, current college student or the parent of someone who's been through the college application process - you may be the volunteer we are looking for! We also are looking for volunteers with backgrounds and experience with arts and cultural events to share their experiences with the students.
