ORGANIZATION: The San Diego River Park Foundation

The San Diego River Park Foundation is seeking volunteer receptionists/greeters to help out a few hours per week M-F. Primary functions of this position are: answering phones, greeting office visitors, helping with filling, mailing and general office projects. The ideal candidate would be someone who is not currently looking for employment, possibly retired, with office, customer service and/or computer experience. We hope to find some special volunteers who would be able to commit to a regular schedule for at least 6 months or longer. Currently, the open shifts are Monday 9am - noon, Tuesday 9 am - noon Wednesday 1 - 4 pm, Thursday morning 9 am - noon

The San Diego River Park Foundation is dedicated to fostering stewardship and appreciation of the region’s namesake waterway. In order to protect and enhance the San Diego River as a place for recreation, habitat, and nature discovery, we are dedicated to engaging people to be stewards of the River and working towards the vision of a 52 mile, river-long system of parks, open spaces, and community places.

Description

We organize many different volunteer stewardship activities each month. River Cleanups, native plant gardening, habitat restoration, volunteer leadership, water quality testing, outreach and education, special event committees, technical committees and more.
