JTE Volunteer

Position Description: Assist students during scheduled Rosetta Stone or open computer lab times.

Rosetta Stone Lab - Help to navigate basic the Rosetta Stone language learning software

Computer Lab - help to navigate basic computer functions, class assignments, and job search.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Staff the lab during your scheduled shift.
  • Answer questions for students regarding computer functions, program functations, exercises, and homework.
  • Assist with logging the students in and out of our system and software
  • Other assignments as needed

Role Requirements & Abilities:

  • Previous experience with a computer lab setting is not required, but the ability to learn new programs is essential. Volunteers can spend time familiarizing themselves with the software before they begin volunteering with students.
  • Strong computer skills.
  • Experience working with diverse individuals with multiple barriers.
  • Reliable, punctual and consistent.
  • Patient, understanding, and caring.
  • Strong listening skills.
