Looking to make a difference in the life of one or more cats? Please consider volunteering to be a caregiver for the 50 - 70 cats temporarily residing at Feline Rescue’s Adoption Center. In addition to keeping their environment clean and healthy, you will get an opportunity to socialize with the cats by petting and playing with them. For some of the shyer cats, this contact will greatly increase their chances of adoption.

You will work with a team of 6 - 8 people to:

  • Clean kennels and cat toys
  • Feed and water cats
  • Clean litter boxes
  • Mop floors

We ask for a six-month commitment of one 2-hour shift per week. Shelter caregivers must be at least 16 years of age to volunteer alone. Children ages 10 to 15 must have a parent or guardian volunteering with them each shift. We cannot accept volunteers under age 10. Please be aware that the shifts are often full, and you will only be contacted if there are openings on a shift that match your availability

Adoption center shift times:

Monday through Friday: 10 a.m. to noon or 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Saturday: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Sunday: 10 a.m. to noon or 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
