BAWK! Cluck! Brrrrrk!
Have you ever tasted fresh eggs? How about wished you had something that would eat all the bugs in your garden? Poop out compost? Entertain you for hours?
Well, look no further! The urban chicken scene is alive and well in Phoenix - and we need YOU to volunteer to help us showcase the coops, and help the hens to strut their stuff at the 7th Annual Tour de Coops!
how do YOU want to be involved on Tour Day?
Coop Headquarters VolunteersVolunteers are needed in the morning to set up the coop headquarters, hand out tickets, wristbands, maps, and tote-bags, and direct traffic. We also need folks who love fun to help staff our chicken photo booth! In general, these volunteers will be our go-to to make sure Tour check-in goes smoothly for all. There will be 2 shifts: morning & afternoon
Coop Docents Coop Docent Volunteers are needed at each of the coops to help guide Tour-Goers - introducing them to the hens, pointing out any interesting permaculture features on the property, and ensuring the Tour is an educational experience for all. There will be 2 shifts: morning & afternoon
Coop Volunteers Coop Volunteers are needed at each of the coops to greet tour goers, guide them through the biosecurity station, and direct them to the coop area. Most coop owners are providing some of their own volunteers, so we will place you at the locations where help is still needed. There will be 2 shifts: morning & afternoon

Description
Trees Matter is a Phoenix-based 501(c)(3) environmental education nonprofit, whose mission is to inspire and promote an increased tree canopy in the Valley.
Trees offer many critical functions such as shade, pollution reduction, dust reduction, food, increased property value, carbon sequestration, increase in mental and physical health, and more. The Valley has an immediate need for an increased tree canopy; Trees Matter works to alleviate this need by educating the public on tree knowledge, and distributing desert-adapted shade trees to residents across the Valley.
