E7 Kids Cafe is a no barriers after school program located in the East End of Lexington. We have several opportunities to volunteer, and would love to have your help!
Hours of operation:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 4:00pm - 5:30pm
Wednesday: 3:00pm - 5:30pm
Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one hour a week for a 3 month period (one semester). Come share smiles, learning, and energy with our kiddos, and together we can encourage curiosity, inspire creativity, and empower students to reach their greatest potential!
Volunteer tasks include (but are not limited to):
- Build positive and meaningful relationships with children aged 4-17
- Assist with homework and other academic tasks, share reading
- Engage with children in educational activities, art and science projects, games, and healthy play
- Chaperone field trips
- Help to set up before programming and clean when students leave
Not sure yet? Check us out online e7kidscafe.weebly.com or find us on Facebook (www.facebook.com/e7kidscafe)!
***We also need groups to volunteer for one time events such as leading an activity, sponsoring a birthday/holiday party, or assist with maintenance of our building.***

Mission Statement
To combat the negative effects of poverty by providing direct social services and opportunities for substantial and lasting improvement in client quality of life.
Description
We are an afterschool and summer community center located at the corner of N. Upper and Fourth Street. In 1999, we started solely as a Kid's Cafe venue where we fed children 18 and under with food donated by God's Pantry. Our center has evolved into a place where kids from the neighborhood can come get help with homework, develop meaningful and positive relationships, have a free meal, take field trips and be in a fun and safe place.
