On Saturday, October 11th the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area will be holding The Go Mt. Charleston Fall Festival. This is an all day festival (1pm-5pm) that will include forest education booths, family activities, food, and more. The event will be held at the Foxtail Picnic Area in the Spring Mountains off of Lee Canyon Road.
An event like this takes a variety of volunteers to make it a success. This is a great opportunity for volunteers to celebrate the arrival of the fall season and give something back to the community. Volunteer positions include:
Help with Set-up & Clean-up
Welcome Table: Welcomes visitors and provides information on the event
Activity station/Booth Host: Staff a station to teach visitors about the forest
Art Assistant: Help visitors create mountain artParking Lot Attendant: Manage the traffic flow of the parking lot and help visitors find a place to park
Volunteers do not have to work the whole event; shifts are available and are based on volunteer availability. Please indicate in your comments which volunteer positions you are interested in (up to three positions) and what your availability will be (e.g. 11am-3pm). .If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Cody Dix at volunteer@gomtcharleston.com or call 702-515-5408.
