Volunteer Achievement Mentors and Tutors:
- Are trained and background screened
- Are matched with a student who have similar interests
- Meet on school campus with their student
- Become a friend and role model
Sessions take place on the school campus at a time that is convenient for both you and your student (including the lunch hour). In addition, you’ll have the professionally trained Achievers For Life staff on the school campus to provide guidance and support.
Talk, listen, and have fun with our gregarious 6th graders in need of friendship and support from a caring adult. Not only may they struggle in math/reading but often their low academic performance spills over into other areas of their life. Your friendship helps students become confident, motivated, and resilient to the challenges they face in school and life.
