Registration

Volunteers are needed to interact with visitors to the Dahlonega Gold Museum. Volunteers can select 4 hour shifts, either morning or afternoons, 7 days a week and can select a many shifts as they would like.

Volunteers may also help with special projects such as gardening, holiday decorations, and man the volunteer table outside the museum for special functions. Training is provided.

The museum will be undergoing a major renovation in Spring 2018- now's the time to get in on the fun!

Our mission is simple. We partner with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, local community and business leaders and community volunteers to promote, support, improve and preserve the Dahlonega Gold Museum State Historic Site.

Description

Friends of Dahlonega Gold Museum, a chapter of Friends of Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites, is a group of local volunteers who work to support the Dahlonega Gold Museum State Historic Site in numerous ways. Our volunteers often help out with special events, improvement projects and maintenance tasks at the site. Through partnerships with local business and community leaders, we help fund site improvements, maintenance needs and interpretive programming.
