If you are comfortable tutoring math up to the 9th grade level, this opportunity is for you! Who: Year Up NY What: A nonprofit organization that helps close the opportunity divide in young adults ages 18-24. We provide intense education in order to prepare our students for internships in various fields including Informatation Technology, Financial Operations, Project Management, and Quality Assurance. Where: Brooklyn; Manhattan Why: Our students come from various backgrounds and some need to strengthen core math skills such as multiplication, division, understanding fractions, and equating percentages. How: If you can donate one hour a week for six weeks between 4p.m.-5p.m. or Wednesday mornings at 11 o'clock, you've already given an amazing gift. I look forward to hearing from you!

Description
Year Up is a one-year, intensive training program that provides urban young adults, ages 18-24, with a combination of hands-on skill development, college credits, and paid corporate internships. Our mission is to prepare urban young adults for life and work in our technology-driven society while guiding urban young adults toward successful and rewarding careers and higher education.
