We are looking for RSVP Volunteers to partner with Stepping Stone Emergency Housing.

Stepping Stone Emergency Housing in Anoka provides transitional housing & support for single adults experiencing homelessness as they strive for self-sufficiency. Stepping Stone seeks volunteers for the following opportunities:

  • Supply and serve a meal! Invite your friends to serve breakfast or dinner along side you. Ideal groups would be between 3-7 servers and bring enough prepared food for 30-40 individuals.
  • Pick up food from 3 public schools & 2 Caribou Coffee locations. Must be able to lift 20 lbs.
  • Teach a skill that you might have: interviewing, writing resumes, tutoring clients etc.
  • Present a module of the Thrive through Education Course

The Anoka County RSVP connects people age 55 and over who want to volunteer with non-profit and social service programs in Anoka County who need volunteers. Volunteers enroll by completing a skills and interests checklist and these are matched to community needs. From the matches, the volunteer selects a volunteer job that is meaningful and fits. Become one of nearly a half million RSVP volunteers across the country who are making a difference in their community.
