The Event Planning Inter is a detailed and self-directed person who uses project management skill to ensure successful social events. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Event Planning Inter may be responsible for large or small events at diverse venues that may have a focus on volunteers or fundraising.
Responsibilities
- Research markets to cultivate companies for sponsorship
- Execute planning logistic for events
- Assist in the development of marketing materials for sponsorship and invitations
- Assist with martketing and event promotion
Desired Skill & Experience
- Demonstrated leadership
- Demonstrated project or event success
Additional Considerations
- Excellent verbal communication skills
Compensations
- This is a volunteer position. Compensation is in the form of networking opportunities and resume building experiences done for a rewarding cause.

WHO WE ARE:
Flight1 is an Indianapolis-based nonprofit organization and 501(c)(3) public charity created in 2011. We work to build confidence in children ages 5 to 18 who face medical challenges or have lost a family member to illness. Our "Courageous Fliers" build their confidence by flying an airplane under the guidance of a Certified Flight Instructor, being recognized as members of the aviation community, and participate in ongoing flight-related activities.
