We need volunteers in the areas of administration, which includes answering the telephone, data entry, and scheduling clients for intake and counseling. There is a need in the seniors department for nutrition education, counseling, exercise, and homemaker and companion services. The teenagers need volunteers in the counseling and pregnancy testing, plus group sessions. Obese persons need help with exercise techniques and nutrition.
The children, from ages 4 to 12, need teachers for aftercare program, and tutors are needed for the older children, from 13 to 17 for their homework; plus tutors are needed for persons studying to pass the GED.
Community outreach workers are needed to provide assistance to homeless persons, abuse victims, seniors, teenage mothers, single women, and children with discipline and learning problems or issues.
We are also in the midst of setting up a private academy to help low-performing students from K to 12 to increase their literacy in math, english, and science, using an innovative curriculum, which stresses individualized learning and student accountability with character training.

Description
Incorporated in August 2010, McDonald's Playworld Community Development, Inc. provides social services, education, training, emergency housing, and affordable housing, targeting various neighborhoods in Miami-Dade County such as,Coconut Grove, Brownsville, Allapattah, Overtown, Goulds, Homestead, Florida City, Richmond Heights, Opa-Locka, Carol City, Liberty City, and Little Haiti. We also target the neighborhoods in West Palm Beach County, and the country of Haiti. McDonald's Playworld Community Development, Inc. (MDPCDI) initiatives include services such as pregnancy support and prevention, daycare services, family enrichment, and youth development during our after school and summer camp programs.
Our main focus is helping seniors, teenagers, and single women with children.
