The ADRC-CW Nutrition Program offers Senior Dining Sites in Nekoosa. Older Adults 60+ come together with others to enjoy a healthy meal and socialize. Monthly events are held on a regular basis: birthday celebrations, holiday parties, bingo and more!
Lunch is served Mondays and Wednesdays at 12:00 pm.
Senior Dining Site Volunteers help with a variety of tasks:
- Greeting and checking people in
- Cleaning tables before and after the meal
- Dishing up and serving the meals
- Washing dishes and general clean up
- Activities such as games, bingo, and music
- Have fun with our dining site participants!
Volunteers arrive at about 11:00 am and finish by 1:30 pm. You decide how much you want to volunteer, weekly or up to once a month! Volunteers can join us for a meal on the days they are volunteering. For those 60+, the suggested contribution is $4.50 and those under 60 would pay a contribution that is right for them.
Application and background check required. Training provided.
