The Chitactac education program teaches 3rd-4th grade students about Native American cultural history and natural resources. Docents will help students explore the park through activity stations focused on wildlife and hunting, native plants and their uses, and life in the Chitactac village community.
Great opportunity for those who like interacting with people, sharing their knowledge, learning, and being outdoors!
Email volunteer@prk.sccgov.org if you would like to join us!
Important COVID-19 update
To protect County personnel, the community members with whom County personnel interact, and all residents of the county, the County will require all County personnel (including volunteers) 12 years of age and older to be fully vaccinated. Proof of vaccination status shall be provided onsite at the start of service (via paper vaccination card, a photo of that card, or a digital SMART Health Card issued by the State of California). Vaccination status will not be retained or shared. If you wish to apply for an exemption to this requirement, please contact the volunteer office at volunteer@prk.sccgov.org
**Fully vaccinated means it has been at least 2 weeks since a person has completed the entire recommended initial series of a COVID-19 vaccine (1 dose of Johnson & Johnson or 2 doses of Pfizer, Moderna, or Novavax).
