The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) - Team in Training is looking for energetic volunteers for the Rock 'n' Roll St. Louis Marathon and Half! We'll be working a water station to hand out water and sports drinks to the passing runners! Our station is located on the half and full marathon courses. If you know someone who is competing, this is a great way to support them and volunteer at the same time!
Volunteers are essential to the race and help the athletes get to the finish line! Your smiles and encouragement may be just the motivation they need! Plus...there's a tshirt in it for you!
When you click on the link, you will want to register to volunteer under the group affiliation heading, Team In Training. If you have problems or questions, please email or call Jacquelyn Stommes at jacquelyn.stommes@lls.org or (314) 590-2244.
Thank you for volunteering for the Gateway Chapter!

Mission Statement
The mission of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) is: Cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
We work tirelessly to find cures and ensure patients can access the lifesaving treatments they need. When someone experiences the fear and uncertainty of a blood cancer diagnosis, we provide hope, compassion, education and support. Our impact is felt beyond blood cancer. The breakthrough treatments we helped advance for blood cancers are now improving the lives of people affected by many types of cancer.
Description
Volunteers are our partners in the crusade to end cancer.
In 2017, LLS volunteers made a significant impact while selflessly dedicating their time and talent to achieve our mission. With countless ways to engage, from fundraising to providing patient support, our volunteers are changing the landscape of cancer.
The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Gateway Chapter was founded in 1973 to serve residents who have been touched by one of the blood cancers: leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. The chapter serves Eastern Missouri, Southern Illinois, and all of Arkansas.
