Duties: Identify possible shelter and service delivery site locations and negotiate facility agreements. Review and update existing shelter and facility agreements while engaging volunteers from those areas. -Corps members will provide the community with disaster trainings and preparedness presentations, respond to local and regional and national disaster relief operations, and support a variety of American Red Cross daily activities. -These positions are full-time, will require weekday, evening and weekend availability and requires a 11 month commitment.
Service Description : Serving alongside paid and volunteer staff, Members will provide direct service to clients of the American Red Cross. Members will complete projects that enhance organizational service delivery, expand community resources throughout the Texas Gulf Coast Region. Service locations include but are not limited to: Houston, Beaumont and Harlingen. Members will recruit, train and mentor volunteers in Red Cross service activities, conduct extensive community outreach, and serve as key representatives at community events. Corps members will provide the community with disaster trainings and preparedness presentations, respond to local and regional disaster relief operations, serve on national disaster assignments, assist with Chapter readiness; and support a variety of American Red Cross daily activities. These positions are full-time, will require weekday, evening and weekend availability and requires a 11 month commitment
