New Beginnings provides intervention services to those experiencing domestic violence. Our Prevention Education Program utilizes Owning Up Curriculum and works in partnership with local middle schools to bring healthy relationship classes to young adults.
Co-facilitate gender-specific groups and help youth explore their thoughts and feelings about dating violence red flags, what a healthy relationship looks like and how to set boundaries in a relationship!
Groups are held at a North Seattle Middle School (near Ballard) on Thursdays from 9:30am - 12:30pm. We require a one academic-year commitment, one shift per week beginning mid-September 2016 through the end of June 2017.
If you are interested and would like to learn more, please contact epankow@newbegin.org for a Volunteer Application and to arrange a time to meet in person!
