As a private, nonprofit organization, The Cabbage Patch relies on your generosity to help us meet the needs of the 1,000-1,200 at-risk children and families we serve annually.
Teaching children and youth new skills and improving their abilities is essential to the mission of The Cabbage Patch. The Patch also places strong emphasis on the development of positive relationships through discussion and role modeling. Long-term volunteer roles typically require 4 hours per week for up to 16 weeks, allowing the volunteer to interact regularly with members and develop these positivelive style .
We are looking for Educational minded folks who are interested in helping a child succeed in school. If you want to read one-on-one or tutor math with a child we are the place for you.
Tutoring is Monday Through Thursday :we need 3 tutors daily with at least an 25 hour commitment.

In 2010, "The Patch" celebrated its 100th year of profoundly changing lives.

We Change Lives We foster self-esteem and responsibility through purpose-driven programs . Relationships are built, and the lives of over 1,250 at-risk children and their families are profoundly changed each year.
