Over 2000 abused and neglected children in our community do not have an advocate to speak up for them in court and the child wellfare system. Become a volunteer Guardian ad Litem and change a child's life forever.

Mission Statement
A Guardian ad Litem is a volunteer appointed by the court to protect the rights and advocate the best interests of an abused or neglected child involved in a court proceeding.
The Volunteer Guardian ad Litem makes independent recommendations to the court by focusing on the needs of each child. The Guardian ad Litem advocates for the best interests of the child they represent.
Thirty hours of training are required and provided free of charge. Some training can be done on-line.
Average time commitment is 6 to 10 hours a month.
Description
Volunteers must be at least 19 years old, and have no record of a felony or judicial finding or guilt for a crime against persons, and no prior history of abuse or neglect of a child or adult.
