New Leaf Behavioral Health is Raleigh-based nonprofit that provides clinical mental health services in North Carolina. New Leaf is a leading provider of free and low-fee mental health services for the uninsured and lower-income individuals in our community. Our model of services emphasizes choice, so that individuals can seek affordable options for help when they feel that they are needed or would be beneficial. By offering a range of free and affordable services and preventative initiatives for the uninsured and under-insured, we strive help people seek services early and minimize the long-term effects of mental health problems when left untreated.

The Clinical Coordinator position will allow a volunteer to work to support the direct clinical services of the organization by coordinating services with referral sources, checking insurance benefits, helping coordinate referrals and scheduling. We request a minimum of 15 hours of involvement per week so that we're able to give you the training to be involved in a meaningful array of activities.

*************Currently, we only have opportunities during Monday-Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm.

This is a great opportunity for students interested in obtaining higher education and career opportunities in healthcare admin, psychology, counseling, social work, public health, medical school and psychiatry.

No prerequisite requirement of a mental health background is needed. Volunteers would need to be comfortable talking on the phone, be familiar with computers and possess good interpersonal skills.

Please contact us if you would like to get involved!
