Latino Heritage, the organization that celebrates the history, arts, and culture of Latinos inPasadena and the San Gabriel Valley, will hold the 14 th Annual Latino Heritage Parade and jamaica on Saturday, October 6, 2012 in Pasadena.
More than 1,500 children, families and residents will attend the partner events, held in Pasadena’s northwest neighborhood.
The parade begins at Los Robles and Howard Street and continues to the jamaica at La Pintoresca Library and Park at Washington and Fair Oaks Avenue.
This year’s theme of Planting Dreams: Sembrando Sueos celebrates 1840-1860 era, when the culture, government and lifestyle were altered by the incorporation of California into the United States.
Volunteers will be needed prior to event and on day of event.

While we focus on the Latino community, we encourage collaboration. We celebrate history by producing a Latino Heritage parade & jamaica (community fair) each year. The event highlights the diversity of Latino culture, showcases positive role models, helps to develop a sense of community and provides us with a good time. We offer crafts, curriculum, lectures, and workshops that highlight Latino Heritage.
