As a development and administrative assistant, you can help with tasks such as:
- ***Mastering our donor database (DonorPerfect)
- Producing database reports
- Calling donors and volunteers for updated contact information
- Assembling marketing packets
- Data entry
- Filing
**Primary task
You will have the opportunity to learn first-hand about the operations of our non-profit, about the issues facing our seniors and to sharpen and build new skills and community connections.
Volunteers must be able to come in at least once a week for a minimum of two hours at a time. Shifts are available Monday through Friday, 8am - 4pm.
We are looking for applicants who have general office skills (filing, phone and computer) and most importatntly either expereince in database management or an aptitude for learning databases. All volunteers must be 18 years of age minimum. Specific on the job training will be provided depending on the volunteer’s assigned task.

Serving Seniors 60 and Greater in Our Community Since 2000
Helping Hands of Vegas Valley (HHOVV) is a dedicated non-profit organization that offers five essential programs to low-income seniors aged 60 and greater in the Las Vegas community, completely free of charge. Each month, we proudly serve over 3,500 seniors who rely on our comprehensive programs and services to support and enhance their quality of life.Helping Hands of Vegas Valley (HHOVV) is a dedicated non-profit organization that offers five essential programs to low-income seniors aged 60 and above in the Las Vegas community, completely free of charge. Each month, we proudly serve over 3,500 seniors who rely on our comprehensive programs and services to support and enhance their quality of life.
Our programs include:
A well-stocked pantry providing nutritious food items
Respite care for caregivers, offering much-needed breaks
Reliable transportation services to medical appointments and other essential destinations
Minor home repair assistance to ensure safe and comfortable living conditions
Nutrition programs designed to promote healthy eating habits and overall well-being
All types of volunteers are welcome: Groups, families, individuals, organizations. One time commitments to long term commitments!
