The RAFT program asssitant will work with participants to increase or maintain cognitive and motor skills through the use of computer based activities. The roll of the RAFT volunteer will include providing one on one basic computer training to praticipants. Once these skills have developed then the volunteer can assist the participant with utilizing and accessing email and other online services with ease and success. ElderPlace Life Encrichment Coordinators also use RAFT for group activities, such as, Wheel of Fortune and individual activities like driving, flying and cycling. The RAFT program is only available at our Gresham facility.

Providence ElderPlace is an innovative program of health care and social services for older adults. Our model of care is known as PACE (Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly). Nationally, PACE programs keep older adults as healthy as possible in the community by providing comprehensive health care and social services including: primary and specialty medical care, a day health program, social work services, rehabilitation, housing (if necessary) and much more.
