Come be a part of our team. Make a difference in the lives of patients in thier last journeys of life. As a hospice volunteer you will help a caregiver in need of support and provide companionship for elderly patients who need a friend. There are many different ways to volunteer. We are also in need of a volunteers who might would like to perform administrative duties.This is a great way to learn some office skills. If you have any special talents like playing an instrument, pet therapy, hair styling,and doing life documentaries we would love to have you.

It is our mission to meet our patients needs physically,socially and spiritually. In order to do that we employee a staff of nurses, home health aids,social workers ,chaplains, Volunteer coordinator, Medical Director and volunteers. Our staff is dedicated to our patients and their families.
Description
You will feel very rewarded in your new role as a Halcyon hospice volunteer. As a hospice volunteer you will help patients and their caregivers in many different areas of their lives. You can provide caregiver relief for 2-4 hours each week to allow the caregiver to enjoy time out of the home. You may also provide companionship to a patient who is in their last Journeys of life. You may also help out as a office administarative volunteer. Some other ways you may volunteer are baking birthday cakes, knitting blankets, running errands, delivering supplies, making weekend tuck in calls, Pet therapy ,if you have a hospice certified animal and Music therapy if you have musical talents. We care for terminal patients in thier home or home like settings. Our office is located in the cumming area. We have patients in several surrounding counties.
