North College Hill Elementary School is looking for one-to-one reading helpers for at-risk third graders. They are initiating an innovative program called Project MORE to help third-graders approach grade-level reading proficiency. If you are looking for a results-oriented volunteer opportunity, Project MORE is for you. "Project MORE, Mentoring in Ohio for Reading Excellence, is a scientifically based reading research volunteer reading mentoring project for students with disabilities, that has demonstrated statistically significant reading results since 1999. Independent research findings consistently report students with specific learning disabilities make month for month reading level gains when they are 1:1 reading mentored four times/week for 30 minutes." RSVP would like to recruit 25-30 volunteers for Project MORE in North College Hill. You and your friends can make a difference in the life of a child by giving them a gift for a lifetime.
