Transportation is such a critical need for many of Polk's residents in helping them to maintain their quality of health and vitality. Many of these individuals may even live near you. "Wheely Great Neighbors" are volunteer drivers who are willing to help give someone a ride on their way to the grocery store or as they pass by their doctor's office when making your routine errands. Our agency can reimburse drivers for their mileage. ElderPoint Ministries of Greater Lakeland coordinates rides for those throughout Polk County that are without transportation. You can decide how far and how often you can provide a ride. You may choose to provide only local trips or you may choose to assist veterans needing to get to appointments at the VA clinic in Tampa. Meet others and know that you are helping to make a difference in the lives of people in your community!
