Willamalane Park and Recreation District is looking for a dedicated volunteer to coordinate the distribution of promotional materials around the community. The position involves delivering brochures, posters, table tents, and other promotional materials to Willamalane facilities and local businesses. The volunteer would be responsible for monitoring inventory and restocking at locations. This is an ongoing volunteer position that would require a visit to each site twice a month to ensure all materials are properly displayed. Interested volunteers must have their own reliable transportation, proof of insurance, be able to lift up to 40 lbs., be outgoing, and enjoy interacting with community members. Willamalane Park and Recreation District will provide mileage reimbursement to offset driving costs.

Willamalane Park and Recreation District maintains and operates seven recreation facilities and 44 parks and natural areas that make up more than 1,500 acres. Highlights include Splash! at Lively Park, Camp Putt Adventure Golf Park, Wildish Community Theater, 13 waterfront areas, 21 miles of hiking and biking trails, 15 sports fields and 24 playgrounds. Willamalane offers hundreds of recreation programs to more than 60,000 patrons. Created by voters in 1944, Willamalane is a special tax district, separate from the city of Springfield, with its own boundaries.
