Suppers Meeting

lYou love to cook, you’re comfortable in a busy kitchen, so how do you feel about teaching what you know to people who must learn home food preparation to deal with their health? The Suppers Programs seeks people within an hour of Princeton to train as facilitators and run meetings from your home, church, or community kitchen. We avoid all processed food including milled grains and sugar. Suppers meetings involve whole food preparation, eating the meal, running food experiments to help people determine their personal best way of eating, and an educational piece which is usually driven by the special interests of the facilitator. They can be general or specific to a population, like people with diabetes or digestive issues or people who just want to learn healthy food preparation like mothers who want to feed their kids better. Meals can be vegan, vegetarian or omnivore. After you have the initial training, the volunteer obligation is about 2 hours a month for facilitator meetings and 5 hours per month of service (or 5 hours per week for weekly meetings). The training is free for people who start Suppers meetings and a nominal cost for those who just want the training. Check out
