Anyone 18 and older is eligble to join the Medical Reserve Corps. Volunteers will be needed if there is a public health emergency in our community. The orientation explains how non-medical and medical MRC volunteers can assist if available during a public health emergency. Information on registration, background checks, and the approval process are provided in a volunteer handbook and during the meeting. Approved volunteers will receive an ID badge. More volunteer training is available but not required.

Mission Statement
The Northern Kentucky Medical Reserve Corps will provide an effective volunteer asset which is capable of enhancing and supporting regional public health emergency response efforts during a time of crisis.
Description
The Northern Kentucky Medical Reserve Corps (NKMRC) is composed of volunteers 18 and older from the counties that the Northern Kentucky Health Department serves: Boone, Campbell, Grant, and Kenton counties. The NKMRC collaborates with the Tristate MRC, which is composed of MRC chapters in Southwestern Ohio, Southeastern Indiana, and Northern Kentucky.
