Rediscover the joys of reading by volunteering as a Tutor-Mentor with PPL’s afterschool youth programs! We help students from low-income communities succeed in school through engaging activities in a positive environment that’s full of laughter and smiles.
PPL Scholars and Leaders in St. Paul is a tutoring and mentoring program for students in grades K-7 th living in PPL’s affordable housing. Volunteer Tutor-Mentors are matched 1:1 with youth to support social and academic growth through literacy tutoring (50 minutes each night), relationship-building, and enrichment activities.
Mondays & Wednesdays, 5:30-7:30pm
Now-May commitment. Required training before starting at program.

Over our 43-year history as a nonprofit, we have developed a broad range of highly integrated programs that help participants build more stable lives.
