Our mission is to promote responsible pet ownership and to decrease the number of companion animals surrendered to shelters. We do not have a shelter of our own, so all of our adoptable animals are housed in temporary foster homes until loving permanent homes are found. ARPO is funded solely by donations and is staffed entirely by volunteers, so new volunteers are always welcome! Teenagers 16-17 may participate at any ARPO event without the parent/guardian being present. Some of our volunteer opportunities include providing foster care for a cat/kitten or dog/puppy, transporting pets to vets/adoption events, helping with fundraising, grant writing, designing flyers and posters and anything else you can think of that would enable us to help more animals.
If you are interested in volunteering, you can now fill out the volunteer form online! TO VOLUNTEER:CLICK HERE!
If you submitted the volunteer sign-up form online, you will still need to download and print out ARPO's Release of Liability Waiver. That can be printed HERE. If you would still like to fill out the paper form, you can still download the Volunteer Registration Form.
For more information on volunteering, call 317-774-8292 or email: volunteer@adoptarpo.org.
