Job Description for a FBG Foundation Committee Chair

• Serve as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors (BOD) without vote or as a voting board member.
• Chair the Foundation Finance & Budget Committee.
• Chair the FoundationSpecial Appropriations Endowment Committee or as a sub-committee of the Finance & Budget Committee select a chair with the Presidents approval.
• Work with the Foundation Treasurer and Committee members on all Finance/Budget business including the Foundation Gift Shop.
• Work with the Foundation Treasurer to complete a Finance and Budget quarterly report to fulfill Pinellas County contract requirements, and submit it to the President by the second week of the following quarter.
• Complete and initiate projects as directed by the President.
• Attend all regularly scheduled BOD meetings or special BOD meetings unless officially excused by the President or Vice-President.
• Keep the FBG Foundation President and BOD informed of Foundation Budget status through regular reports.
• Monitor Foundation Committee/Project budgets, identify potential problems and recommend review and action.
• Responsible for reviewing all budget requests submitted to the Foundation.
• Oversee Treasures’ maintenance record of expenditures, fund balances, and ensuring Foundation funds are spent according to appropriate FBG Foundation Policies and Procedures, Pinellas County contract requirements, and State and Federal non-profit guidelines.
• In conjunction with the Finance and Budget Committee, establish guidelines and timelines for annual budgeting process to be approved by the FBG Foundation BOD.
• Review and make change recommendations to Endowment policies submitted by the Special Appropriations Endowment Committee and provide reports to the Finance & Budget Committee and the Board of Directors as needed.
• Create and oversee the Foundation annual budgeting process and a 5-year budget plan.
• Advise the Foundation BOD on all financial matters, including spending priorities, budget process, and financial status.
• Keep a permanent record of event, program reviews, and audits as delineated in Policies and Procedures.
