Medical Ministry International (MMI) is looking for some individual volunteers who will commit themselves on a long-term basis to refurbishing used wheelchairs, walkers, etc., for our ministry. There is a fairly long learning-curve involved ... the volunteers would need to work essentially as "apprentices" for several months alongside a retired gentleman in Lancaster PA who does this work as a personal ministry to the Lord. Since there is a wide variety of manufacturers and models of this equipment, it will take some time for the volunteers to become thoroughly familiar with them and how to refurbish, replace broken parts, etc. Ideally, those apprentices would become devoted to this volunteer work themselves and would continue to provide their services long into the future.
