Talbert House is seeking volunteers to be trained and answer calls for its 281-CARE suicide/crisis hotline. Volunteers must be 18 years or older, have a high school diploma or GED, and submit to a background check. This is a minimum 3 month commitment. A 40-hour training will be provided along with ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Training). This is a 24-hour hotline, so volunteer hours are flexible and can be weekdays or weekends.
