ORGANIZATION: WACAP (World Association for Children and Parents)

  • 19 people are interested

WACAP (World Association for Children and Parents) believes every child should have a family, and that includes children who are older, part of a sibling group, or who have medical needs. Our Family Finder's program does targeted outreach to find families for children with special needs. You can help us find families by placing very, very short ads on Google about WACAP's adoption programs. (For example: Contact WACAP www.wacap.org for information about adopting children with medical needs from China.) Then, use Google analytics to check on performance and optimize the ads. It is helpful if you have done this before, but not required. This volunteer task can be done at home!

Mission Statement

WACAP is a champion for children, finding and preparing permanent families and offering lifelong support after adoption. Our vision is a family for every child.

Description

Life is hard without a family. WACAP’s focus is to find adoptive families for children and build strong families. A global non-profit since 1976, WACAP has united more than 11,400 children with permanent, loving families.

At WACAP, we believe in the power of family to transform lives, and work tirelessly on behalf of children in U.S. foster care and orphanages overseas. Through the help of volunteers, we use unique family finding methods enabling us to reach out across the U.S. to identify potential adoptive families and move toward our vision of a family for every child.
