Porter Hills Village Retirement Community is in need of volunteers to assist in escorting residents to our Sunday Vesper Service. Vesper services are held at our main chapel on our campus. Volunteers would assist in escorting residents in their wheelchairs to the service, sit with them during the service, and then escort them back to their rooms upon conclusion of the service.
Requirements: 1) Ability to push a wheelchair; 2) Desire to work with older adults, some with memory loss; 3) Responsible and reliable; 4)Minimum age 14; 5) Must be available on Sundays from 3:40-5:15 p.m.

Description
Porter Hills Village is a not-for-profit continuum care retirement community. We have approximately 450 seniors living in one of five distinctive living environments. The five areas include Garden Apartments and Town Homes (independent living), Village Center (independent living with services), Catered Living (assisted care), Harmony Hall (specialized dementia care) and Health Center (skilled nursing area). Porter Hills Village also includes a wellness center to promote a healthy lifestyle.
