The Scott Acting Conservatory of The Actors Theatre Workshop, provides semi-private classes where each individual student receives one-on-one attention from the director. Classes take place in a safe creative environment where students are encouraged to express their ideas and insights and supported to gain clarity, discipline and focus to hone their craft. This professional acting conservatory was founded by award-winning actor, writer and director, Thurman E. Scott. Mr. Scott teaches an original acting and writing technique to both professional actors and students embarking upon the journey of an education in drama.

Begin the process of discovering and developing the uniqueness of your natural talent in a safe and supportive environment. This process will allow you to experience that uniqueness and support you to accept your power, which will give you confidence to express your creative essence in the world. No one has your DNA. ATW's mission is to teach individuals from all walks of life original creative techniques that provides them with the tools to change and to create new, original theatre that examines the conflicts that have emerged form today's cultural mix and creates hope for the fulfillment in the human experience.

Description

Founded over two decades ago, the Actors Theatre Workshop is an established pioneer in non-profit theatre that produces classical and contemporary plays, develops new dramatic works, trains and develops actors, directors and writers while making a difference in the lives of at-risk youth and the community at large. Thurman E. Scott, ATW's artistic director, Executive Producer and Founder, is a widely acknowledged expert of artistic project development, an innovator of award-winning arts curriculums and programs for proffessional artistic training, and has a long and successful history of public service to culturaly under-served communities.
