Maryland CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) for Children is a private nonprofit organization that is dedicated to ensuring the rights of all victims of child abuse and neglect to grow up in safe, permanent homes. This mission is carried out through the efforts of trained volunteer advocates who speak up for the best interests of children.
We are seeking volunteers to help us plan our annual fundraising event - a charity team that participates in the Baltimore Running Festival in October 2014. Volunteers may help with everything from runner/walker recruitment, volunteer recruitment, securing corporate sponsorships and in kind donations, as well as helping out on race day. All proceeds from the event support our efforts to recruit and train additional volunteers to serve as advocates for children.
