Want to help a woman in your community become more economically self sufficient by managing her money more effectively? Budget Buddies offers a six-month financial literacy program for low-income women in the Merrimack Valley that combines one-to-one coaching with workshops on budgeting, banking, and credit. For an hour a week, you can help someone learn tools she’ll use for a lifetime. As a coach, you'll receive extensive training, ongoing support, and a wide range of instructional materials. You do not have to be a financial expert to participate -- just someone who wants to give back to her community. Join us for a non-obligation Volunteer Information Night to learn more about our program and talk to some of our coaches about their experiences. For additional information, please call us at 978-703-0820, send a note to info@budget-buddies.org , or visit our Web site at www.budgetbuddies.org . Volunteer information nights will be held on Jan 8, 2015 for the House of Hope, Jan 13, 2015 for the YWCA, as well as on Feb 2, 2015 and Feb 18, 2015 at 14 High St. Chelmsford.

Description
Virtual Programming - Women's Money Matters builds the financial literacy, confidence , and security of low-income women through a unique program that combines 3-4 months of instructional workshops (weekly/online via zoom) and personal, one-to-one coaching. We work with participants referred by local social service agencies and customize each program to their specific needs as well as with individuals who reach out to us on their own. Volunteers from local financial institutions and other community organizations lead the classes. Volunteer coaches serve as the personal mentors.
