Volunteer patrol members assist staff in protecting and preserving the flora and fauna of the San Diego River, reporting vandalism, providing information and assistance to park & trail users, and ensuring that all visitors are able to enjoy the natural beauty of the parks, preserves and trails. Volunteers are dedicated to preserving the safety and habitat of the Mission Valley Preserve by providing a visible presence, reporting and educating. Patrols may be done by foot, mountain bike or golf cart. Training provided.
This is an ongoing volunteer opportunity and is flexible. We ask volunteers to commit to a minimum of one hour per week for three months. This opportunity is perfect for anyone who regularly frequent the River Trail in Mission Valley and enjoys spending time outdoors.
