Join our Resource & Research Volunteer Committee and help the Roots & Wings Foundation provide young adults who have aged out of the foster care system in NJ with safe housing, education, counseling and life skills. Each volunteer on the committee will have a specific role and project that will directly benefit the program and the clients. Projects could include: Volunteer Coordinator, Mentor/Client Activities Coordinator, Education Resource Coordinator, Birthday/Celebration Coordinator, Food Pantry Coordinator, Holiday Gift Drive Coordinator, Back to School Gift Drive Coordinator and more. Each coordinator would oversee the specific needs of the project. Meetings held quarterly or as needed.

Description
VMC provides volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups of all ages through our affiliation with over 500 not-for-profits, schools and government entities. VMC goes beyond matching to educating volunteers. Professional development is offered to volunteer managers, agency boards, and individuals wishing to serve on a not-for-profit board of directors. Business partnerships enable us to assist them in planning and executing volunteer projects. In addition, outreach and senior services are offered through friendly visiting and telephone reassurance programs.
