As you may be aware, many people throw out a good deal of "stuff" when they move. Unfortunately, a lot of this "stuff" is food that could be delivered to a family in need rather than thrown away. That’s where we come in ...

By teaming up with relocation companies across the country, Move For Hunger is creating one of the nation’s largest year-round service programs. Our movers offer to pick up the unwanted, non-perishable food items from those who are moving and deliver it to their local food banks.

Since we began, Move For Hunger has partnered with over 600 movers in 47 states. Together we have delivered more than 3,500,000 lbs. of food to those in need.

Graphic Design Intern

Move For Hunger is looking for a creative, motivated, enthusiastic candidate to intern in our events department as a Graphic Design Intern. Move For Hunger creates exciting events to engage communities throughout the United States and raise awareness about hunger. We will need someone to assist in the media and graphic design of fliers, banners, and logos. School credit preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

Tasks include but are not limited to:

- Creating visual content for website and individual posts to our blog/ events section

- Creating flyers, banners, and marketing materials for food drives and other events

- Creation of layout and design for collateral materials

- Input into layout redesign plan of existing website

- Input into design of new website content and pages

Qualifications:

- Extensive knowledge and experience with Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop

- Creative with graphic design

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

- Must be able to work cohesively in a team environment

- Must be organized

Although this internship is unpaid, we hope to provide you with a valuable, real-world experience. We also have some awesome travel and weekend volunteering opportunities!

Internship Application Deadlines

Priority is given to those who apply early, we encourage you to get all your information in as soon as possible. Internships run for a 4-month long period, there may be the possibility to extend your internship after 4 months.
