The Walter White Community Garden is in need of helpers!

The garden provides local residents opportunities to participate in community gardening. ANYONE is welcome to participate! Get together with friends and family and visit the garden to receive fresh produce and learn more about growing, cooking and preserving fresh produce.

May 27, 2016, is the start of our gardening season and one of the most important days in order for the garden to be a successful and to sustain survival and growth throughout the season. Tasks include a variety of projects to construct and maintain the gardens.

Tasks will be assigned by a Garden Host or staff member. There is no age limit to volunteer for the community garden.

The Guidance Center (formerly Downriver Guidance Clinic) is an innovative leader in providing quality behavioral health, substance abuse, and community outreach services to children, adults, and families. The private, nonprofit agency is at the forefront of creating new prevention and educational models to help children and families deal with mental health and substance abuse issues and has a history of responding to the ever-changing needs of the people of Downriver and metropolitan Detroit communities.
