Lyngblomsten Care Center launched a program in 2010 called Generation Lyngk. The goal of this program is to utilize Skype technology in order to help our residents/tenants communicate and connect with their families even though they may be separated by distance.

Responsibilities of this position include:

Bringing the laptop computer from the Volunteer Offices to the resident's room

Set up the Skype call

Assisting the resident with beginning and ending the conversation at the designated times

Troubleshoot any technical issues

Qualifications:

Familiar with basic computer operations

Knowledge of the Skype program, or willingness and ability to learn

Friendly personality - able to make residents and families feel comfortable and well cared for

Punctual and reliable.

Time Commitment: Assist with a Skype call of 30 minutes or less in length once a week or once every other week.
